Recently, posts have appeared on many social media platforms in China about parents entrusting delivery workers to take their children to school, with many saying that they chose to place orders through delivery platforms to have their children picked up and dropped off due to cold weather or personal reasons, and some parents even placed orders on a monthly subscription basis, sparking concern and discussion.

According to Chinese media reports, some netizens on Chinese social media platforms have shared their experience of placing orders for transportation of children to school. Some parents have difficulties in picking up their children due to busy schedules or road congestion, and so on, and they have no choice but to call for the assistance of a delivery person. A Chinese woman said that because of her busy work schedule, she often stays up late to work overtime and is unable to get up early to take her children to school, so she has hired delivery workers to take her children to school on several occasions in the past. She believes that the delivery person is supervised by the platform and will take photos or videos to confirm the delivery, and the platform has a location tracking function, which makes her feel relieved about her child's safety.

Some parents reported spending RMB 2,500 (about NT$11,112) for a monthly subscription service, while some delivery workers even recorded the entire pick-up and drop-off process on video and shared it on audio-visual platforms.

A Chinese media reporter placed an order for "sending a child to school for extra lessons", and the delivery fee was RMB 12 (about NT$53). Within 3 minutes, a delivery person answered the order and called to confirm the order.

The deliveryman told the reporter, "I see the distance is very close to pick up, if it is far away will not pick up," and said he did this line more than 2 years, the first time to see the pick up and drop off children's orders, so it is specifically to call the customer to confirm. He sent a screenshot of the order to the WeChat group, and others said they had not received such an order. The reporter also placed an order on three other delivery platforms with the word "child" in the memo, and one of them had someone to take the order, and two had no one to take the order.
