How do delivery drivers determine the quantity of items and the payment method listed on an order before accepting it?

An order that seems straightforward at first glance may actually involve multiple bags of drinks or require handling different payment methods. Checking the item details and quantities before accepting an order helps ensure that your vehicle can safely transport the items and prevents any discrepancies from arising at the time of delivery.

Information That the Platform Should Disclose

The Ministry of Labor has designated the item details and quantities, as well as the consumer’s payment method, as key information that must be provided when assigning a delivery order; the estimated pay, pickup and drop-off locations, and completion time should also be considered. Looking at the pay alone is not enough to fully understand the requirements of the job.

Make Two Comparisons Before Accepting an Order

First, check the quantity against the available space in the insulated box or the vehicle where the order can be secured, then verify whether the payment method requires collection or confirmation according to the platform’s procedures. If the information on the screen is incomplete, don’t assume that payment must be made in full upfront, and don’t cram the meals together just to save time.

There's Still a Discrepancy After Picking Up the Order

If the number of bags or the item descriptions provided by the merchant do not match what is shown on the delivery order, take a screenshot and follow the platform’s procedures to inquire. When making a delivery, follow only the official order and the platform’s instructions; do not allow verbal requests to override the system’s records.
