Once an appeal against suspension is granted, delivery riders often first ask whether they can return to work; however, the actual outcome also includes the account status, relevant records, and the compensation measures stipulated in the contract.
Official Guidance on the Approach to Be Taken
The Ministry of Labor noted that when an investigation into a complaint filed with a platform confirms that a delivery rider’s account was suspended or their contract terminated in error, the platform must not only restore the rider’s rights but also provide compensation in accordance with the compensation measures stipulated in the delivery service contract. The specific scope of compensation will depend on the individual case and the terms of the contract.
First, identify which records
Keep copies of the original suspension notice, the receipt confirming receipt of your appeal, the platform’s response acknowledging the error, and the date your account was reinstated. If you have questions regarding the period during which you were unable to accept orders, please ask the platform to provide a formal written explanation of the basis for calculating compensation and the method of payment.
Avoid receiving only verbal responses
If the response simply states “Resolved” without providing a reason for the resolution, you can follow up to ask whether the complaint was upheld, whether any related adverse records have been corrected, and when compensation will be processed. Use the same case number for all correspondence to facilitate future reference.
